1800's Victorian Lingerie Handmade Linen Corset Cover Bodice
Collector item more than an item to be worn in our opinion
Handmade linen corset cover bodice with collar stays.
Primitive style gunmetal closures and cuff buttons
Natural linen and linen mesh on the bodice and long sleeves
Red stitching around the metal buttons. It would have been the only visible part
This is a historical piece made in our rural area of south central PA.
Handmade with silk stay threading
Our local area was made of hard working farmers. Handmade items were made simple without the decorations and lace of other items made in bigger cities.
We dated this by style material and research. This particular item would have been either Victorian Era or the early part of the Edwardian Era. There are no labels or markings. We would recommend a cleaning but we did not have it professionally cleaned
